Well I'm the guest blogger today. My Aunt Julie has been hanging in there as well as my Uncle Dave. They both have been at the hospital day an night since saturday. Roseann stayed with him one night at the hospital and my Aunt Julies and John her nephew has been with him since. She don't want to leave his side. My Uncle is in so much pain but I think because Aunt Julie promised she would take him home he is hanging in there. They Hospice is suppose to bring him home today. Lets pray he makes it.. That is where he wants to be is with family at home. Then I think our good Lord will take him home an we can then rejoice that he is where he is meant to be at this time in our lives. All we can do is pray and thank the good Lord we have had and still do have him in our lives. All we can do is enjoy every second that we have him with us. Uncle Al, Julie's mom an dad an I (Ellie) and more family will be coming in and spending Christmas with him. We love you all an Merry Christmas and have a safe an happy holiday.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been able to blog in so long but Dave has been having a hard time. The last month has been crazy. Dave has been in terrible pain in his legs and back. We have been to his oncologist and she has given him new medicine. The new stuff puts him to sleep when he takes it correctly. He is on something for the pain from his chemo and that pretty much is under control. We have started his brain radiation and will be done this Friday. So far I think that has been ok. We had an MRI of his spine done last week and had GOOD NEWS that there was NO tumor on his spine but they can see the compression on his vertebrae and that is what is causing a lot of his pain. WE have been seeing an acupuncture DR. and he helped him a bit. We have seen the chiropractor twice this week and she is coming by the house tomorrow. She feels the drive to her office is adding to his pain.Dave has decided that the more pain medicine he takes the better he will be, something about if I can have 3 a day then why can't I take all 3 at the same time. ! This has really gotten out of control and I fear that next he will need to go through a detox program. I think you all know how hard headed Dave can be.!!! Dave is due to have another MRI done on Friday for his hip. Please keep us in your prayers. I know that with God in your life anything is possible but without him nothing is. Talk to you soon, Dave and Julie

This has been a busy couple of weeks. We got home from Philly with some wonderful news. What a great place. Any one who is walking in the shoes of cancer should go to the Cancer center. A great environment with great staff. I don't think we could say anything bad about our experience there. Dave has been in a great deal of pain. His knees and legs ache it seems almost all the time. He is on a ton of pain meds . We are trying to get it under control so maybe he can come off of some of it. He played 36 holes of golf last Sunday and then we went with Barbara and Dave to watch the giants and grab a bite to eat at Appelbies. Ron and Gary came over on Veterans day and helped with moving the hydrangea bushes and planted a beautiful red maple in the front yard. The guys stayed for supper and we had a great time visiting. We went to Lisa and Paul's house for dinner last Saturday and they came by ours this Saturday night. They also stopped by today to watch the Jets play. Like I said its been a couple of busy weeks. Thanks everyone for all your prayers and help. I know that it has made a huge difference in where we are standing now. I know that with God anything is possible and without him nothing is. Keep those prayers coming. Talk to you soon. Love, Julie and Dave

Well today is the day we leave for the Cancer center of America in Philly. We are excited to see what alternative treatments there are for us to turn to in case Dave's cancer comes back. I will blog when we get home the night of the 4th. Our last appointment for that day is 3;30. Thanks everyone for your prayers . I know there can't be anyone who has been more blessed then Dave and Me. We believe that prayer makes the miracles happen. Please everyone keep us in your prayers this week along with Benny Davis. Benny is the son of my ex assistant Head Teller that was hit by a car this week. He is in a comma with head trauma and numerous broken bones. Benny is just 18 years old with his whole life in front of him. I know that with God anything is possible and without him in your life nothing is. Talk to you when we get back. Love, Dave and Julie

Today was a Great day! We went to see the Dr. and got great news. The ct showed the following:The clavicle tumor was gone completely, the right lung shrunk down to a size they couldn't measure along with the liver and the large tumor that was 101/2 mm is now at 2/and1/2 and shows it being calcified. YEAH!!! This is the best we could have ever asked for. Thank you everyone for the prayers, visits and friendship. What a great life we are living in. I don't think anyone has ever been more blessed then Dave and me. Please keep those prayers coming because we believe that's what is making this all happen. Talk to you all soon. With Our love, Dave and Julie
